McNay Art Museum
As the first modern art museum in
the entire state of Texas, the museum houses over 14,000 works of contemporary
and European art in the 24-room Spanish Colonial Revival-style mansion of

on the Riverwalk, first-time visitors to this museum are often pleasantly
surprised at the size and scope of the collection, which includes the largest
collection of ancient Egyptian, Greek and Roman art in the southern US, in
addition to a growing base of contemporary and regional art works.
The Witte Museum

Riverwalk, this premiere museum of South Texas history, culture, and natural
